New Publication from Chad Jacobi

Chad Jacobi’s (and co-author) new book, “Royal Commissions : Law and Practice” was published by Thomson Reuters in June 2022. It addresses the key aspects of how Royal Commissions are carried into effect, including their terms of reference, the design, organisation and conduct of the inquiry and how those aspects in turn inform the gathering of information, the planning and conduct of hearings and the available findings and recommendations. It explains the factors affecting a Commission’s decision-making and its powers and analyses the legal principles and case law concerning natural justice relevant to the the conduct of Royal Commissions.

The object of the book is to advance the purposeful, efficient, organised and fair conduct of Australian Royal Commissions.
