Lucy Boord SC was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 1996 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2020.
Lucy joined Edmund Barton Chambers in 2024, after over 20 years at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as both trial and appellate counsel. She has appeared as lead counsel in complex jury trials for charges including fraud, money laundering, commercial drug offences, sexual offences and homicides. She conducted appeals in the Supreme Court, the Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court. Lucy has significant experience and expertise in competency and fitness hearings in the criminal jurisdiction and Supreme Court indeterminate detention applications.
